Halloween

Activity 1:
Halloween's history:

 1-The ancient Celtic festival of Samhain.
 2-Ireland, United kingdom and northen France.
 3-The ghosts returned to earth.
 4-To make prediction about teh future.
 5-They build hue scared bonfires
 6-it is consistent of animal heads and skins.
 7-They relight the hearth fires.
 8-The Romain Empire.
 9-Feralia and teh honor Ponoma.
10-Souls's Day.
11-the bonfires, parades, dressings up in costumes, as saints, angels and devils.
12-The Hallows or All-Hallownas.
13-It was called All Hallow Eve and eventually called Halloween.


Activity 2:
Jack O'Lantern:

1-The name came from and Irich falkate about a man named stingy jack-originated in England.
2-He kept the coin in his pocket.
3-That he will not bother jack for one year.
4-He carved a sign of the cross into the tree's bark.
5-Jack died.
6-God will would not allow him going into heaven.
7-Jack of teh latern.
8-By carving scary faces into turnips or potatoes to frighten away stingy Jack and other wandering evil spirits.
9-The pumpkins.

Apple-bobbing:
1-The game is palyed by filling a large basin with water and putting apples on in it.
2-Because apples are less dense tahn water,and they will flowat at the surface.
3-Teeth.
4-Hands.

Trick-or-treating:
1-To ask for treats as a candy.
2-Trick or treat?
3-The trick is a threat to perform mischief on the homepwners or their property if no treat is given.
4-since at least the early 1950s.
5- By decorating their privates entrances and also by leaving candi in bowls on the porch.

Dumped man wins $30 million in lottery

A twenty year american man, won $30 million in a lottery. He has been working two job, one at a bank and the other one at an electronics store. He left the school early after the death of his father, and he has started looking after his mother. He planned to quit his jobs and help his family and his mother, paying off her mortgage.  He just broke up with her girlfriend before winnig the millions. He was heartbroken, but after he didn't really worried about it, because she was unlucky girl for him.

What I learnt today

the skillwise site was a good methode of gaining information in our study course , I did a lot of activities which helped me how to find out about the different types of texts. Now, I can realize the difference between them. And also, it improved my Reading and Understanding skills through focusing on doing them, it was so easy and simple to understand it.

My first job

Its was a long time ago in Lebanon, when I was 16 years old and was still studying at high school in year ten. I was like a teacher. I gave special lessons for 2 girls, 11 and 12 years old.


After finishing my classes day at 2:p.m, I would go home, I would eat something and take rest for one hour, and after that I would go to their school to pick them up  at 6:00 p.m, because they were studying in the afternoon.
They would eat and take little rest, and then we would start to study for three hours or more. After that, their parents would drop me off to my home.
That was very hard for me because I was a student and young too, and they were two girls, but after a while I got used to it.
I was so happy with them, we were like friends and more than that. We loved each other and they told me all their secrets.

It was a good experience for me, because I learnt many things.
I will never forget them and they will always remember me too.

how i met my friend ???

It was a long time ago, she was my friend in  secondary school, she was very a beautiful girl and very tall.
She tried to talk to me and to meet eachother, and she liked me, because I was beautiful and shy girl.
Then, after holiday summer, we had been registered in the same highschool place, and we were in the same class too, but I had many friends and we were a group, but Iwas liking her to be my friend.
After, we became friends, because I left my friends and I went to another profession so, we were so excited to be friends, we felt confortbale in each other, i opened my heart to her and she told me about all her story.
later, in the last year in highschool, I failed in the final exam but she didn't, so she went to the university and I did again the exams and I worked in many shops, but we still go out together.
I and she were in relationship, she got married, and she has a beautiful daughter looked like her, she is a arabic teacher in the current time.
After that, when my husband came back to get married and to pick up me to Australia, she felt sad, she couldn't believe that.
She stayed for a long time upset on me because i left her alone because I was her best friend ever and she is the same.
So,,, I didn't forget her even though the distances and she did  also . we are still sending to eachother the messages and calling.

about my School holiday

Every one was waiting to have the school holiday for rest and recreation, but not me.
I stayed at home all that time, but I didn't go out exept for two times to purchase some stuff. My mother in law and her two daughters went to Lebanon, one to get married and the other one to get engaged, so I had to do all the housework, washing, cleaning and cooking.
I would wake up early and I work until afternoon and then I would have lunch at 6:00 p.m. After praying I went to bed for evening nap which took two hours or more.
At 10:00 p.m I would wake up again, I make a cup of coffee with some cookies or with chocolate cake and sat at the computer on facebook to talk with my friends, and sometimes sat to watch TV.
Of course I would wait for my husband to come back from his work.
When he was coming back I would start to prepare the dinner for him and for my father in law, and after that I would start to clean everything and wash the dishes.
We would still awake watching TV and we call my mother in law to tell us the news and what they did overseas.
So, that's my little story about my school holiday.

Old English Trifle

Ingredients for the Trifle :
- Sherry
-Cream100 ml (double cream)
-Victoria sandwich cake or 8 trrfle sponges
-Custard (1 pint)
- Flaked Almonds, toasted (to decorate)
-Glace' cherries 50g(to decorate)
-Raspberries 175 g.

Method :

1. - Dice the sponge cake into small cubes
2. -Put the cake and raspberries into a glass bowl and
3.  pour some sherry liquid over them.
4. - Spoon the custard  into the bowl and smooth it. 
5. - Layer the double cream on the top .
6. -Decorate the Trifle with Glace' cherries, toasted almonds and cream (optional). 
7. - Chill the Trifle in the fridge before serving.
